Hello listeners and welcome once more to the Hall of Mirrors.

Not too much jibber this week as I've got a rather big one for you.

Why is it big?

Because a whole tale lies here in.

And the longer I go on blabbing like a nervous fish, the longer it will be.

So I'll just lead you down the hall here to the third mirror.

And as we go, I'll remind you that when I started this podcast I promised tales of horror and

the grotesque and people in unusual circumstances.

Well, this story fits that last category.

Nothing to be scared of here, but certainly something to ponder.

Ah, here we are, the third mirror.

And you may notice a particular aroma around this mirror.

Hmm?

Here, lean closer to the glass and take a sniff.

Mmm, yes, if I'm not mistaken, that's the smell of fear and something else.

Yes, a definite hint of desperation also, fear and desperation, a heady and classic combination of fragrances that always excites the

olfactory senses, like strawberries and cream, gin and tonic, or cheese and pickle.

The question of course is who's afraid and who's desperate?

Ah, that's the cue for the glass to begin to ripple and swirl like liquid night.

And see now, on the other side of the glass, a dark interior, cramped, uncomfortable and moving.
