Hello listeners and welcome once again to the Hall of Mirrors. The story that begins today I've chosen to separate again into two parts.

Of course I could have crammed the whole thing into one episode, but if I had done, I feel

it would have been a bit on the hefty side, probably coming in at about an hour in length, and I prefer to keep my episodes

week's tale? Horror? No, horrible. Yes.

Oh zombies, indestructible masked knife men and cannibal families out in the woods are all well and good,

but they're unlikely. Whereas the plausible horrors,

the ugly urban grotesques that society manages to contain for the most part.

These are the horrors that are likely to tear or

taint our comfortable existences.

And this week's story is just such a grotesque.

So let's walk now, you and I, along this dark corridor to the next pool of light and the next window, if you will, to my unpleasant world.

Here we are, the second mirror. And why look, it seems that some mucky pup has been here before us.

Muddy footprints, here on the floor, that appear to originate from the mirror itself.

Now, if you were a newbie to the Hall of Mirrors, that might seem odd.

But you're a seasoned traveler at this stage.

And as the glass begins to ripple and swirl before us, I may as well confess that these muddy footprints are mine.
