perhaps disinclined to listen to again. However, there are also many of you who have never

listened to it. Oh yes, I know. I read my correspondence. You found me maybe through Dracula or

my H.P. Lovecraft readings, heard the promo for Underwood and Flinch and have only listened to that, Underwood and Flinch, skipping over all the other stuff here in my feed, like The Hall of Mirrors, short story podcast from which this story is taken.

And so for you, this is like a big promo for that podcast,

The story is old. I wrote it in the late 1990s, not for podcast, obviously, because podcasts didn't exist then and not for publication either.

Like anyone would have published it anyway. No, I wrote this story entirely for my own amusement,

which is a great way to write because, you know,

you don't care about what anybody thinks.

You don't care about anyone's opinions,

their likes, their dislikes.

It's just for you.
