And now, by rule and by law, you must introduce this man as Hall of Famer.

Because a few days ago was announced that this man is the recipient of the Kirk Gowdy Electronic Media Award

and will be enshrined to the Basketball Hall of Fame.

He has been here for many years.

He is the voice of the Brooklyn Nets. Sorry, Ian, you don't do enough games anymore. He is the voice of your Brooklyn Nets. The great Chris Carrino. Chris, congratulations on the honor. How you doing, man? Guys, thank you. It's still so surreal. And to hear you say that is just like it's not really happening. Like I'm in a dream somewhere. It's crazy. Well, I know you're too humble to say it, so I'm going to do it for you. By law, every single person, including the capper, has to now refer to you as Mr. Hall of Famer. Absolutely. How did you find out about this?

It's funny, too, I got like an email during the week on, it was Wednesday, I guess, that they were looking, somebody from the Hall of Fame, and they said they were looking for my phone number.

And I just, and I just i just i just you know because me i'm just thinking it for a minute i start going no there's there's no way and i and i just so i get they probably wanted for

like a directory or something or you know and uh and then i'm i'm getting ready to go to the arena

on thursday in miami and i get a call from the president's CEO of the hall of fame and

he just says hey uh you know i actually missed his call and and and all of a sudden i'm getting

i'm getting the call i'm seeing i missed the call the call, and I'm going, he leaves a message. And I'm like, no way. There's just no way. And I call him back and he just says those words, you know, you've been selected as this year's Kurt Dowdy Award recipient and you're in the Hall of Fame. And I just like I it just for a moment I just I

blanked out it it's like this can't be real and then he goes and I wasn't talking

and I think he kind of said well you know I've got this effect when I make this you

know tell people this that people that make a living with their words are suddenly

at a loss of word and certainly was it for me, no doubt. I'm very curious because as a Nets fan and a fan of you, I have an opinion on this, and I'm curious if we're going to match up. I have a favorite Chris Carino call, and I went to the archives. I asked the people around here, you've got to find this for me. we have it. And I'm very curious, because your view on this can be very different. It could be based on something going on in your life or the emotions of that day. So it may not be the exact same call, but I am curious. Do you have a personal favorite call that you had calling the Nets over the years? Wow. I think back, it's funny because we had this discussion,
