Almost every day now we've been reporting on the impact of the war in Gaza on

the people there. Nine weeks after the conflict began the BBC has spoken to a senior member of the UN who's seen the

situation on the ground.

He's Karl Skow, a deputy director of the World Food Programme.

He's been in Raffer, a city in the south of the strip, and he's been painting a bleak picture of what he found.

I met people who had not eaten for days.
