Welcome to another fanbrose special delivery. This is Chico Leo, and as always I am flying high above the Brooklyn night.

We're still early in the year and it's been a little sparse as far as TV is concerned.

If I'm not mistaken, Supergirl was either a rerun or was not on this week.

So there was no Supergirl, I don't think.

And the Shinar Chronicles, which we, you know, had high, well, I don't know about, had high hopes for on, on some level, is definitely not really reaching those hopes.

They're definitely putting some very weak sauce in the stew over there at MTV. It's continued with sort of bad, wax, CGI, and a lot of MTV slash CW Histrionics.

But without some of the higher notes so far, it seems to be a love triangle developing.

I'm going to stick with it for at least a little while.

The strengths of the show are Manu Bennett's performance and the fact that it's really the only high fantasy on TV right now. So I'm going to try and support that for as long as I can.

And, you know, the source material is pretty good, but I don't know

if it's translating through the MTV lens that well. One thing that does seem to be translating

well from the novels, and I haven't read the novels that the expanse is based on, but I was intrigued from the

beginning, mostly for what seemed, seemed like it was, you know, to come. And it's definitely

spooling out a really good story. The world building is really dope. There's definitely some good performances.

And I feel like The Expans is, if you haven't started it, I do recommend it, but I would

almost recommend binge watching it, which there's been six out of ten episodes so far. So if you

were going to binge watch it, on demand do you know three or four

episodes a week um you'll probably uh end up you know watching it uh right up until uh the the finale

or the the season finale because it has been picked up for a second season. Anyway, I'm enjoying the expanse.

It's still, we've got three separate storylines that seem to be coming together.
