Summary

In this Episode of The Human Upgrade™...​ Dave talks to David Hinds of Brisbane, Australia, about gut issues and weight loss for men at mid-life. David’s already biohacking, working out, and taking supplements he thinks are the right ones—yet the weight around his mid-section persists.

This intervention looks at ways to tackle hard-to-budge love handles and extra mid-section weight with suggestions covering hormones, thyroid, sleep, SIBO, probiotics, supplements, inflammation, the pituitary gland, prolactin, and potassium. This discussion gets into libido and eyesight, too.

David’s in his early 50s and a dad to two teenagers. He started biohacking over three years ago when he discovered the Bulletproof Radio podcast (now called The Human Upgrade). He then read Dave’s books, made some life changes, saw the results, and decided 150 years on this rock would be awesome! “So, I'm one-third of the way through life, and my aim is to be in the best physical and mental state possible for all of those years,” he says.
