I had a habit of smoking. I started smoking when I was nine years old.

Well then when God started calling me quit I was convinced I couldn't quit.

So I had to change my mind and I had to change the way I talked

and I had to be willing to go through a little bit. So I tell you what, the first day was bad. The second day wasn't much better. I made it to the weekend.

Dave and I had an argument at a picnic.

I left the picnic. I went home and I thought I am buying a pack of cigarettes and I am smoking the whole pack.

Whatever I thought that was going to do to get him back, I don't know. But don't we do that sometimes

when we're mad? You know, it's just like whatever the thing is that we should not be doing,

we want to just go do a whole bunch of it.

Come on if you get really emotional don't you want to eat everything in sight?

We're only hurting yourself.

I got those cigarettes and I went home and I was in the house, the family was at the picnic and I was just going to sit there and smoke.

And I had a choice to make. I'd made it a week. It was starting to get just a little teeny tiny bit easier.

Little tiny bit.

And you know that was like a crisis point for me.

And I think any time that you're trying to break a bad habit and make a new habit,

there does come like a crisis point.
