The summer months are often a time when families travel together, perhaps vacation, a family reunion, or just a quick trip to Grandma's house.

another as we make the journey together. We are taking a summer road trip through the Book of

Philippians, the book of Christian joy, and discovering principles to help our homes.

Let's join Scott Pauley now for today's study.

Even the most relaxed road trip requires some attention to detail.

There's some planning that goes into it.

the means by which we're going to make the trip. And I want you to know, this road trip, this

tour we have through life together, there are certain things that you can't just expect

everything to turn out like that you want them to. Instead, there's certain attention

that has to be given to detail. We're in Philippians chapter four and we're learning something

about the habits of happy homes. I said to you, I'm going to give you 10 of them from this chapter.

We've given two already. Let's review those and then we'll add two more to our list today. First of all,

we learn in verses

one to three that you have to get over quarrels. Stop living in it. Stop stirring it. Stop adding wood

to the fire. Reconcile, deal with things that happened in the past so that you can move forward.

Number two, we learned from perhaps the most famous verse in the whole book,

Philippians 4 verse 4, rejoice in the Lord always.

And again, I say rejoice, that you have to choose joy every day.
