If you've been with us through this series on Habakkuk, you know that most of the first

chapter was not real hopeful on the face of things.

We had a lot of doom and gloom and calamity and Chaldeans coming in to take over the earth.

And if you don't

know what I'm talking about, you can order the series and listen to the whole thing. But if we come

today to what I think is one of the most hopeful first signs of hope, certainly in this book,

in chapter 2, verse 2. But let's pick up at verse 1 so we get some context here. Habakkuk is now ready to really

listen to what God has to say and how God will respond to the questions and the concerns that

are on Habakkuk's heart. And so he said in verse one, we looked at this in the last session,
