The race is on and so is the 2020 Formula One season because the first new car has broken cover.

Images of the Ferrari engineed Hass VF20 have been released today giving us the first slice of the new season to discuss.

I'm Ed Sture, and joining me on this special edition of the Race F1 podcast Extra is Grand Prix

winning car designer Gary Anderson. Gary, it's very much a continuation yet there's no big

rule changes, but it's always exciting to get a glimpse of a new car, isn't it? I guess even for

someone like yourself who's been around Formula One for not too far off half a century now.

Yeah, it is because it sort of kicks the season off.

You know it's now starting and it's only a matter of days and weeks, I suppose, to get the noise and see the racing start again.

But there's a lot to do between now and then, obviously, the to take place and everybody will be pushing pretty hard to step forward a bit from

last year i suppose you call it because that's with the continuation of regulations that's what

you should be doing it should be a move forward because you know the basics of the car you understand

your car from last year or at least you should understand your car from last year you should understand its deficits and you just want to make sure you fix the bad

bits and keep the good bits not easy but that's the objective well that's a challenge um has certainly

understood the symptoms of their problems they they hope they've understood the actual problems and

there are a few interesting hints with this car isn't we've got five images of them We're looking at the sort of front three quarters image now, number 20, Kevin Magnuson's

car. This is livery does, and of course we should say the livery has changed back to something

close to Hassi's old livery now, the whole rich energy things, things done.
