So Steve Suter was back for another film breakdown on my podcast yesterday. Steve has been doing it for me all year long.

Steve, the game analyst with Johnny Holliday on all of Maryland's football games and Steve, one of the greatest punt returners in the history of college football.

So one of the reasons he was excited to kind of watch this particular all 22 and break it down is he wanted to see

if there was a big difference between the way Dan Quinn called the defense and the way

Joe Witt Jr. was calling the defense. So at first, I asked him just for his big takeaways

from the game Sunday in Madrid.

Roll the ball in offense.

And they did that.

So they did a good job offensively of keeping their defense off the field.

They just couldn't punch it in there when they got inside the red zone,

but did a good job of maintaining the run game staying ahead of the change.

They didn't do much to hurt themselves.

By the way, a penalties, holding calls, etc. They didn't do much to hurt themselves by the way of penalties,

holding calls, etc. They didn't have many negative first down plays. So you're doing well from an

offense. You can keep your play caller in Kingsbury in rhythm if you're getting production on

first down so they did a decent job with that. It just couldn't, unfortunately, couldn't, you know,

cap those off with touchdown. So offensively did what they had to do to win the football game until a couple of the key players where they didn't make.

And then defensively, thoughts are, I know we talked last week, and I'll start with it because it was what I was really interested in watching.

It was just a difference in play calling.

Would I notice a difference from Dan Quinn? Would there be different play calling situations that I could specifically point my finger

to do and say, yeah, that's different. They wouldn't do that. And the short answer to that question is, yes,

it was absolutely evident that a different play caller was calling plays to me. And you can start by
