I've admired Robin's work for as long as I can remember, and I was really thrilled to finally get the chance to speak with her.

Robin has just released her feature directorial debut, Land.

The film is about a woman who's experienced tremendous loss and retreats to the

beautiful but unforgiving wilderness to try to find a new way to live. Watching the film felt

like being inside a poem. It's so moving, visually stunning, and completely took my breath

away. Today we talk about making career pivots, honing your artistic vision,

how we heal from trauma,

and why she felt called to make a movie about human kindness.
