hey there gw jairs in reading about final fantasy 13 i noticed a lot of criticism that, much like Final Fantasy 10, the game is very linear, falling into a pattern of run-through hallway, fight random enemies, watch cutscene, wash, rinse, repeat.

The standard rebuttal seems to be that a lot of the classic Final Fantasies were linear too, and this is certainly true.
