Hello, we've had an email from Connor who says, as a queer person, the thing which

has affected my mental health the most during the pandemic is not being able to be in

queer spaces like bars and clubs.

So my question is about the nighttime economy.

Do you think that clubs will only really be able to reopen once the majority of the population is vaccinated?

Well, somebody who knows all about the nighttime economy and queer spaces is Jeremy Joseph, who runs G-A-Y, the famous club in London.

Well, just to answer Connor's question, what do you think about the long term?

Do you think you'll be opening and back to normal and everyone dancing kind of in the spring or in the summer or later?

I have to be really honest with you.

Like everybody, I've been having good days and bad days.

And the only way I've been able to get through what we're going through at the moment

is to actually try and work day by day rather than long term. But in terms of the next few days,

so London's going to be in tier two. So that means you can reopen G-A-Y at Heaven a week on Saturday.

And is the plan, you're going to serve McDonald's so

that you have a substantial meal? Let's put this back into perspective because I think

wet lead venues have been thrown under the bus by this government. You know, you can go into

GAY before this. You would wear a mask. you'd do track and trace, you wear a mask

for your table, when you can take your mask off when you're at the table, you're not allowed

to go into the venue unless you're with some people you live with or within your support bubble.
