Hello everyone, I'm Jinx Monsoon and welcome to my podcast Hi Jigs, where I an internationally tolerated drag superstar

interview many compelling and fascinating people and ask them how they became who they are and how

they started doing what they do so well. Today, our guest is none other than Guy Brandham. Hello Guy, how are you?

Hello Jigs, I'm doing very well. How are you? You know, my go-to phrase has been can't complain because

I would love to complain, but I really can't.

Like understanding and coping with the imposed late quarantine mental illness has been very much a

journey for me. Like how much of this is me and how much is everybody going through the same thing

and how much do we just have to pretend everything's fine? I know, you know, it's been brought up a few

times, but we have collectively experienced trauma together now and that's something we're all

going to have to deal with for years to come or possibly for the rest of our lives.

What a joy that is though to have something shared across the whole world. You know, there's so

few instances of that. No, it's very true and for such a long time, it was like, oh, what defines me?

The societal decay, but economic, like, booms of the 90s? Like what did we have to say that we had

gone through? I mean, yeah, I was going to say something terrible, but I'm not going to say it now.

Maybe it'll just come up naturally later. Yes, a little something from the beginning of the

millennium that we show we're all pretty dramatic. I, you know, I do count my blessings that

as an entertainer, you know, as I watched all my gigs disappear, I think I had one day of

licking my wounds before I realized I can still work from home. I can still do things.
