Yeah, I'm looking at my, for a build rather, a hyper system, you know. And I was looking at the average line. And they seem cypress system, you know.

And I was looking at the Savage line.

They seemed like they're, you know, pretty low-cost rifles.

I was wondering about the accuracy on them.

It's one of those weird deals.

Savage, you are on the right track.

Savage is making some really fine rifles and some very accurate rifles at very attractive prices.

And a bunch of people who are interested in long-range shooting are going with Savage.

And then, as you say, build your system because it is, in fact, a system.

But I think you would be pretty darn happy if you said,

I'm going to go get me a Savage rifle and start building my long- range gun around that. Savage in 308, you'd be good to go.

Is 243 a possibility maybe other than 308 or any other calibre other than 380?

You know, really it all depends on what you're going to do and how far you want to shoot. If 3 or 400 yards, a 243 is fine. If you're going to be shooting further than that, I would definitely go with the 308. You'll just have a lot more options open to you in terms of ammo and a lot of other things with the 308. That's become the standard for long range shooting out to 800 yards or so.
