gun talk. You see this story out of Bellingham, Washington. A 45-year-old man was renting a room at a home of a single mother.

He came home drunk and decided that his room had been messed with. So he attacked the woman who's running in the room, kicking over her bedroom

door and choking her in her bed. Well, this woman's ten-year-old boy, little boy, grabbed a board and smack this guy with it. Well that got the

guy's attention so he starts chasing this kid, his boy. The boy ran outside and this

attacker followed the boy. Then the boy sneaked back in the house and locked the guy followed the boy. Then the boy sneaked the guy outside the house.

Well, so good, you know, so far so good.

And then this drunk guy kicks in a window and is reaching in and he's got a hold of this woman through the

window.

So this 10-year-old boy gets his pump action BB gun and shoots this guy four times sending him away and I guess he ended up sending him to the hospital.

So yes, some folks get the whole concept of self-defense and taking care of others very early on.

Unfortunately, some people never get it.

We're talking about being able to take care of yourself at home. And part of that, and when we talk about

youngsters and having firearms in the home, one of the things we always talk about is you got to make sure your guns, the real guns, are secure when you got kids around.

And I know people say, well, you know, I want to have it ready for self-defense.

Yeah, I get that. But there are concessions you have to make, okay?

And part of that whole thing we talk about is having a gun safe.
