Welcome again to Gun Talk.

I'm Tom Gresham.

We're going to be talking about guns today.

We're also going to be talking about hurricanes and storm preparation and what

you do in an emergency, how you prepare yourself. Because as you know, we talk about a lot of

different things on gun talk. A lot of them are about guns and sometimes we kind of go into the broader sense of

personal protection which means safety and it doesn't always involve a firearm because I want you to be safe.

Yeah, I want you to learn how to use a gun and know when to use it and how to use it and all of

that. But at the same time, there are other things in your life that represent threats.

A tropical storm, like Tropical Storm Irene, which is kind of eeking its way out, going north out of New York as we speak. We're going to have a live report

in about half an hour from somebody sitting right in the middle of tropical storm, formerly

Hurricane Irene, with some information about that.

And we're going to talk about preparation for mindset.

And the reason I do this is because the mindset,

the whole preparation procedure flows over to your thinking about self-protection if you carry

a gun, if you have a gun in your home for
