And now from the tourist booth at the NRA show, it's Tom Gresham. Oh, yeah, let's just turn it on and do it. I'll tell you what, we are having fun here in the middle of the NRA show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Visiting with Ken Jorgensen from Ruger, Ken, this is a great hall here. This is wonderful. This is great. There's just a whole bunch of fun things to look at here yeah you know of course you're trapped in your booth and i get to go look

at all the fun stuff well it's kind of cool being in the booth today we have a lot of things people

are very interested in looking at it because you have some of the coolest things and i went by your

booth i couldn't get in your booth.

It's jam-packed and that's the way we like it.

Yeah. Well, I mean, you have, of course, the thing was just announced, what, 10 days ago, maybe, the 1911.

Ruger makes a 1911.

And it was terrible because i got to shoot it in

december i haven't been able to talk about it all the side oh look bob morrison coming and making

faces at you hey bob no this has been a real hit i mean it's uh it's kind of a well someone said

well back's kind of the worst kept secret in the industry for a long time as you said you saw it you it in December. No, we're really proud of this gun. This is a gun that a lot of times gone into, a lot of engineering thoughts gone into. We're making it our plant down in Prescott, Arizona, which you got to tour and see when we were there. Impressive. But it's an original 1911. I mean, it's a, you know, Series 70 gun.

It has kind of all the things you want and things you don't want aren't there.

Well, you can tell it was a 1911 that was designed.

And we hate to even say design because John Browning designed him.

But you guys designed this one with the features that shooters would want.

That's right. Yeah, that's exactly right. And that's the response we're getting from people. They like this gun because it has what they want and it doesn't have the things they don't want.

Right. And, you know, it's part of the manufacturing at Ruger's things we've learned over the years. And, you know, in our Prescott Plant, which is a very well-run operation, and make all those wonderful pistols we're doing. And this has a lot of nice features on it. It has the Novak, you know, sites on it, and the way Novak work with us in developing this. And it's just a pistol, it's a 1911. Of course, this is the year to be doing 1911. Yeah, no kidding pistol. It's in 1911.
