This is Alan Gottlieb is sitting in for Tom today in this hour of Gun Talk, where we're going to be talking again grassroots gun rights Sunday on Gun Talk.

We've been going around the nation to the key battleground states and the fight for the right to keep and bear arms.

Now we're going to go out to Illinois and talk with Richard Pearson, the executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association,

one of the key groups that was a co-plaintiff with the Second Amendment Foundation in the famous case, McDonald-Fee, Chicago,

that knocked out the Chicago gun ban and also incorporated the Second Amendment to all 50 states.

Hey, I'm glad to be here.

Yeah, I'm glad you're there, too, because we have a busy week coming.

I'm going to start with that if I can.

A lot of listeners may not know that Mayor Bloomberg from New York has got this

truck, a billboard truck going around

the country with a counting

clock and a sign saying

that 34 Americans lose their lives every

day because of guns.

And he's trying to gear up support for

some national anti-gun laws.
