I'm Tom Gresham and Gun Talk of course is just us getting together and really shooting the breeze.

Finding out what's new, what's good, what's fun, what have you been doing?

Been shooting some guns? What have you been shooting? Been doing a little hunting?

Tell us about that.

We basically get together to talk about, well, sometimes issues, sometimes interesting guns that

we're shooting, optics, topics of interest, safety of course is a big one, and I'm going to be beating

on that throughout the show today because unfortunately the rules for gun safety seem to keep eluding some people, basic rules.

You know, there are... Jeff Cooper came up with the four rules of gun safety and if you would obey those if you would be mindful of the four

rules of gun safety you're not going to have a tragic accident you know

rule number one all guns are always loaded.

Basically all that means is treat every gun as though it's loaded, even when you know it's not.

Never put your finger on the trigger until your sights are on the target and you are ready to shoot.

Don't point the muzzle on anything you're not willing to put a bullet into.
