m.o 8 cartridge, and we were trying to deduce what it was.

He thought it might have been a 788 and then going and check it.

Yeah, it was actually. The 788 was in fact chambered for the 7M-O-8.

Wasn't aware of that. I can't say that he was looking for larger magazines and I don't know that this was let's see

I was not aware that they made the 7M.08 or Chamber debt in the 788. I had a couple of 788s, one in 6mm Remington and one in 308,

very accurate, very inexpensive rifles and pretty good triggers on them too, but they were ugly.

I mean they started out ugly and they never got any better so that's what you got

there.
