This is Gun Talk. If you've just landed upon this or you don't know where you are, but settle back. Have some fun. That's what we're going to do. We're going to have some fun right here. Gun Talk. That's what we call it. We're talking about guns, handguns, rifles, shotguns, self-defense, sporting clays, clay targets, competition.

We'll talk about politics, and obviously we're going to talk about hunting because, you know what, hunting seasons are rolling right upon us.

And a lot of folks, if you went out and did a little hunting last year and then you put your gun away and you haven't picked it up since, oh my goodness, there are so many things

to address. Number one, does your gun work right? Was it working right when you put it away or did

you think, oh, I'll take that to the gunsmith before the season? Guess what? You're already late

if you need to get your gun to a gunsmith because they're starting to get pretty darn busy

with people getting ready for the hunting seasons.

Also, if you put your gun away and you haven't been shooting with it, what makes you think that you can hit the target, in this case, hit the game animal as you should?

You've got to practice.

I would even offer that you have a moral obligation

to the animal that you're hunting to be good, to be able to hit it, to do what you're supposed

to do. That's a conversation we certainly can have, and it's best done around a campfire,

but we can certainly do it around the virtual campfire here at Gun Talk.
