Hey, this is Tom Gresham, you're listening to a reloaded version of gun talk.

As we continue our 4th of July celebration of America and our incredible win in the

Supreme Court this week, welcome back to Gun Talk. I'm Tom Grusham. Yes indeed, a huge win on Monday.

The Supreme Court ruled in the McDonald case, that's the case that challenged the gun ban,

the handgun ban in Chicago.

And the Supreme Court said that the Second Amendment,

an important part of the Bill of Rights,

the Second Amendment actually can be applied against the states and the cities.

What does that mean? Well, the Heller decision two years ago said that we have an individual Second Amendment right to own guns but it was only

applied against the federal government well now what this says is the state

governments city governments none of them can strip you of your Second Amendment rights.

But there's a lot more to this.

And for the story of how this came about and kind of where we go from here, let's turn to somebody who's been intimately

involved with this from the very beginning.

This is a case that was brought to the Supreme Court by the Second Amendment
