Data from the FBI, you know, the FBI keeps the records on gun sales.

It says that since 2005, Americans have been on a firearms buying spree.

Just released their preliminary 2009 crime data.

And they've indicated that we've been buying guns like crazy since 2005, and as we buy more guns in the U.S., violent crime keeps dropping at an accelerating rate.

The FBI is reporting the number of background checks.
