If you have not thanked a veteran, by all means do so. You know a veteran, go out your way. Call him or her. Say hello. I just want to thank you for what you did.

Take a minute to remember those who are not here anymore, who did in fact sacrifice everything

they have, everything they had, everything they ever will have,

dying in the service of our country, your country.

I like that thing that I got it said, if you can read this, thank a teacher. If you're reading it in English, think a veteran. Not bad. Not bad. I like that a lot actually. Stop by the local World War II

Memorial. It is actually about 20 feet from my

street, and it's literally straight across the street from my house

and it's for the folks in our, in Louisiana we don't have counties, we have parishes.

The service members in our parish who died in World War II with all their names in a bronze plaque.

And recently, over the last few years, it's interesting, it has been, it had been neglected and then some of us completely unattached not talking to each other

started fixing it up and going in on 4th of July Memorial's Day, Veterans Day, and putting

up flags around this memorial.

And it was basically a concrete stand with a bronze plaque in it that had been kind of ignored.

They had a flagpole in front of it with a radial flag that had gotten torn up.

And then I guess maybe somebody noticed after a few years that we have been doing this and I would see people

drive up, stop, get out, put flags out around the memorial.
