I've been talking with people about 16-gauge shotguns for some reason this week.

People wanted to know about that.

Love 16-Gage shotguns.

Under-uilized, under-appreciated these days, but if designed correctly, a good 16-Gage

shotgun is utterly delightful to carry, to shoot.

One of the things that people do, though, unfortunately, is they buy too heavy a load.

People think, I'll get a 16-g gauge instead of a 12, but then I'll put heavy loads in it and make it like a 12.

Well then just get a 12.

The whole idea of a 16 is you get a smaller frame, a lighter gun, easier to carry, more comfortable in your hands,

don't go putting one and a quarter ounce loads in there.

Put one ounce loads in there, if you could find them even three quarter ounce loads.
