Hey, I'm glad you could be here. I'm having a ball today. Let me tell you. Well, you know what?

We always have fun because we get to talk about guns and shooting and self-defense and competition and safety and all the stuff that has to do with shooting in the shooting sports. So I'm glad you

could be with us. If you are new here, let me explain. We're going to be talking about guns. That may not be the kinds of things you're thinking of, because if you're used to reading things like, oh, the New York Times, you may have a weird idea about guns and people who own guns and shoot guns. Settle in. That's okay. We'd like to get to know you, and we'd like for you to get to know us. And so we're

going to just kind of chat about our hobbies and our passions and our concerns. So

get you here. Now, of course, one of the things, and there are a lot of things that we do with

guns. We buy them for self-defense. We buy them for hunting. Sometimes we just get guns because we like to collect them. We like to look at, you know, some of them are real pretty. Some of them are actually works of art. And, of course, competition ranks right up there. And when it comes to competition shooters, there are the masses, people

like me, and then there are the people who actually are really, really good, and they're

different from the rest of us, partly because I think they're just hardwired differently,

and partly because they have, I guess, the emotional, I think maybe it's as much as

anything as an emotional makeup,

a willingness to work hard, to compete, can't stand to not be competing, can't stand to not be beating somebody.

And that's a good thing because it pushes them forward.

So they take their natural talents and then go somewhere else with them.
