They were just lying low, but I guarantee you they're here now.

I'm Tom Gresham, and I am your host for the next three hours talking about guns, the technical and the political.

And we're going to be moving more into the political right now because I'll tell you what,

I am seeing some things that are interesting and disturbing at the same time.

We're going to be talking a bit about that. By the way, if you're new here, let me explain. Gun Talk is a radio show about guns and

shooting in the shooting sports, but also about gun rights. They all work together, self-defense

with firearms, and the overarching social issues that involve firearms, but also, frankly, for some of us, not everybody, but for some of us,

the way that we are treated on the firearms issue by those we elect and those that the elected appoint,

the way they treat us on firearms issues becomes a litmus test for how they think of us.

If they don't trust you to own guns, they don't trust you.

If they think they should control your access to firearms, they think they should control you, period.

If you don't think that that's true, I would submit that you haven't thought this through completely.

And having watched this for an awfully long time, I find that this correlation holds up no matter what you do.

Now, there are some clearly that get confused occasionally, and there are some who, for whatever reason, want to play both sides.

I was watching a brief little clip this morning of one of the candidates for, I guess, governor of New Jersey, yes.

And he was saying, well, I believe in gun control, but I'm also a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.
