We have a full house and we're going to be packed today.

Lots of stuff to talk about yes indeed I'm

Tom Grusham and yeah we're going to talk about guns that's what we do here and of

course you really can't talk about guns without talking about politics.

More specifically gun rights.

And I think it's important for us to keep that term in mind when we're talking about guns.

You know, you're talking about gun control or gun this, gun that. Remember, talk about gun rights

because the way that you use words makes a big difference. Just as we're going on the air, we get a call. Somebody didn't want to be on the air.

Just said, I just want to thank you for talking me into joining the NRA. He and his family have joined.

As you know, as soon as we got the results of the presidential

election, I started talking about this. I said, look, it's very simple. I know that ultimately the battle is to win the hearts

and minds of the public and to present ourselves as the reasonable law-abiding people that we are.

But you know sometimes when they're coming over the

walls you have to fight with what you have and I think we are looking at an assault.

We're going to be having one coming at us in terms of gun rights.

And there are a lot of things I can think of that we can do in the long term, but in the

short term there aren't that many things that we can do, and one that we can do, and the one that I've been pushing and I have to tell you this was I just did this on my own I just said look if you're a gun owner you simply have not need to you have to belong to the NRA.

And what's been interesting as we've gone through this and we've made it easy

we put the link on our website and all is how many people have written me and said thank you.

And of course, and I'm being a nag.
