Patrick Mendoza is facing an arrest warrant this morning for assault and battery in connection

to that shooting.

We spoke to the man he shot at who tells us he's thankful to be alive.

We had words.

He drops his bicycle. He starts coming towards me. I said, okay, it's going to be a fight. Then when he went to the back of his waist, I said, he's going to pull something. Tonight, new video shows the moment a man opens fire right in the middle of Hanover Street in the North End. The man being shot at is Rocco Givenello. We spoke with him by phone. We're doing like a run around the

circle, the Jeep, you know, trying to get a good shot at me. Surveillance video showing the moment

Rocco Giovinello dodges a bullet as he's standing outside of modern pastry in the North End

Wednesday night. It whizzed by me. I heard it go by me. He shot once in the bullet one right over my

shoulder on my right side. I heard it. Just fly right by me. The pastry shop, taking the hit

instead. The man accused of firing the shot is 54-year-old Patrick Mendoza, co-owner of Monica's

Trotoria, which is 900 feet away from modern pastry.

Surveillance video shows a man riding a bike toward Giovinello and firing multiple times.

I knew it was coming. I said, this kid's going to do so. I've got to be ready.

According to Giovinello and court documents, the two have known each other for 20 years.

And there has been an

ongoing feud between the two involving multiple incidences over the last several years.

You know, I've got to keep my eyes and just keep my eyes open.

Luckily, none of the bullets hit Giavenello or any bystanders on the busy street,

though one pierced the window to modern pastry.

Tonight, Mendoza is on the run as police continued to look for him.

I'm just glad no one got hurt or killed.
