All right, everyone, happy Friday. Welcome back to the Loopcast. Today, we had no problem deciding what we were going to talk about.

We had a historic decision yesterday. Donald Trump will be the first former president to be charged of a felony, let alone 34 counts convicted of all 34.

No problem. No problem. So we're going to talk about today. How did you

guys handle the news expected, surprise, shocked, angry, cry? I mean, for me, it's less that it's a

former president, which is a big deal. But to me, it's not like they went after George W. Bush

or Barack Obama or whoever. It's not just a former president.

It's the major party candidate's current candidate running for office. He's someone who's trying

to get elected president. So it's not like they went after somebody who's been out of office

for 10 years and has no ambitions. This is somebody, the Republican Party is planning on nominating.

It's pretty obvious.

He's the nominee.

And this is, you know, lawfare.

This is using the legal system to punish potential candidates for office.

It's just makes me want to vomit. One of my favorite parts of this program is that

we have Erica to describe in great detail what exactly was charged of. I think the broad consensus I got

from talking to some people is they didn't really follow this until today. Today is, well,

whoa, he was just convicted of a felony. So we need to know exactly what exactly was Donald Trump

convicted of in New York. All right. This was a tough assignment because even the MSNBC experts over

there, they're like, we're not really sure, but I'm going to do my best for y'all. So Trump was

convicted for all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to conceal

hush money payments to a porn star. You may have heard of Stormy Daniels, even if you were not
