My name is Wayne Stender, the product manager here at Breakpoint, and I'm excited to share with you a special conversation with John Stone Street and Dr. Anthony Bradley of the King's College. John and Dr. Bradley discuss the tyranny of low expectations that we have placed on young men and how as a culture we're failing young men to

transition from boys to manhood. This conversation comes to you from our Lighthouse Voices

series done in partnership with Focus on the Family. Here's John Stone Street and Dr. Anthony

Bradley. We believe that Christians are at their best, not when they're running away from the plague, but when they're running into the plague.

Not when they're running away from the brokenness, but when they're running into the brokenness.

This is a matter of church history that Christians believed that they were called to a time and a place by God.

And that Christian faith wasn't just about having a place to go when you die, but having a

purpose and meaning while we're here.

That's something that I think the church needs to reconsider and reevaluate in light of the

culture around us.

Anybody else here just a little bit dizzy about how quickly culture is changing

these days, how quickly things have gone from being unthinkable to unquestionable really overnight?

That's what this Lighthouse Voices series really is all about. It is about helping Christians

think through what's happening in our culture, not so that we can just understand it, not just so we can just

yell at it and be mad at it when we're supposed to or something like that, but that we know what

it means to bring light and bring hope to a culture that desperately needs it. So that's the

conversation we're going to have. I know that there's very few redemptive things that happen on

Twitter. Can I get an amen on that one?

don't start. Right. It's bad for your soul. But one of the things that I find redemptive on

Twitter is the Twitter handle of Dr. Bradley. Years ago, he started to just post stories celebrating when men are men and young men

are being young men and fathers are reaching out to their kids.
