0:14.8	Today, we have a glorious, shamanic, journeying meditation.
0:21.2	I'm going to take you on a powerful shamanic journey.
0:28.1	Shamanism represents a sort of universal conceptual framework found among indigenous tribal humans.
0:38.5	It includes the belief that the natural world has two aspects, ordinary everyday
0:44.7	awareness formed by our habitual behaviors, patterns of belief, social norms, and cultural
0:53.5	conditioning.
0:55.4	And a second, non-ordinary awareness accessed through altered states or ecstatic trance,
1:02.5	induced by shamanic practices such as repetitive drumming.
1:09.7	The act of entering into an ecstatic trance state is called by some
1:16.6	the soul flight or shamanic journey. And it allows the journeyer to view life and life's
1:25.6	problems from a detached spiritual perspective, not easily achieved
1:32.4	in everyday ordinary consciousness.
1:37.5	Basically, shamanic journeying is a way of communicating with your inner spirit self. Your spirit guides and accessing
1:48.5	the Akashic record. Your inner self is in constant communication with all aspects of your
1:56.3	environment, seen and unseen. You need only journey within to find answers to your questions.
2:06.5	To begin this meditation, you should have a question or objective in mind from the start.
2:13.6	Chalmonic journeying may be undertaken for purposes of divination, for personal healing,
2:19.8	to meet one's power animal or spirit guide, or for any number of other reasons.
2:26.3	After the journey, you must then interpret the meaning of your trance experience.
