So, hello and welcome to this morning meditation.

And for... Welcome to this morning meditation, and we're in the middle of this series on Insight

and coming to the part of Insight Meditation, Insight Practice, where we're looking at

the amazing Polly word pronounced Dukha.

And as I'll talk more about it, it's an adjective.

And in English, sometimes there's a, the preposition before, one translation of Duca is suffering,

and the word that sometimes precedes it is suffering with or follows it.

One suffers with something. And what I'm trying to say here is that in Polly, it's an adjective, it's always something that is

painful. And when there's something that's something that is painful.

And when there's something that's painful,

there's also something which is not painful.

When they're suffering, there's also that which is not suffering.

When there is affliction, there's also that which is not afflicted.

When there is something with suffering, suffering with something, that it is, there's that that which is not suffering, not with suffering.

And so this meeting of what is suffering, what is not suffering, is a fascinating place.

And sometimes we emphasize things are either one way or another.

But in the Dharma, it's helpful to think of them as not either or, but there's an and.

And the Dharma happens in the and, the end in between.

It's not just suffering, and it's not just happiness.
