Sit comfortably in a quiet place where you can be free from distractions.

Let your spine be neutral and tall, rest your hands in your lap or on your thighs in a way that promotes a release of

your shoulders and an expansion of your chest. You may choose to lie down and if you do make yourself as comfortable as you possibly can on your

yoga mat or on your bed.

Now close your eyes and turn inward.

Breathe slowly and turn inward.

Breathing slowly and steadily in and out through your nose.

Finding a natural, easy, comfortable breath.

Pay attention to the breath moving in and out of your nose.

Now invite joy into your practice by silently contemplating why you wish to cultivate more joy.
