| 0:19.9 | And we're going to, I want to start by saying that one of the ways of appreciating Buddhist teaching |
| 0:32.9 | is that they are oriented around the idea that the teachings, the practices we do, |
| 0:47.4 | should be appropriate for the state of mind we're in, |
| 0:58.7 | that our state of mind, our inner life, changes over time. |
| 1:11.0 | And that the change is not random. It is, it is, it is a lot of conditions that affect it. |
| 1:13.7 | And one of them is the practice itself. |
| 1:18.0 | And classically, the practice is understood to be a journey. |
| 1:19.8 | There's a path model. |
| 1:25.5 | And so as we practice on the path, on different parts of the path, |
| 1:28.1 | different practices are appropriate, different approaches, |
| 1:33.8 | different ways of being, and also different understandings come along, different understanding that what's happening happen. So when we have Buddhist teachings, sometimes they're pointing |
| 1:41.7 | or being spoken from a particular state of mind orientation, |
| 1:46.1 | whereas the audience might not be there yet. |
| 1:49.7 | And so there's a little bit of a mismatch there. |
| 1:54.1 | But one of the key aspects of the path that we're on |

| 2:01.6 | is that wherever you are now is the right place for you. |
