So many folks will know you from your work at the Ethics and Public Policy

Center or from your various publications.

I suspect a lot of people have come across the marriage book

that you wrote with Professor George and Gerges.

But for those who perhaps don't know you as well,

would you just say a word,

you know, who you are, where you're from, and what you do?

Sure.

So I grew up in Baltimore, so to answer the where I'm from question,

but we currently live in Luckett's Virginia which is in

between Leesburg, Virginia and Frederick, Maryland and we moved out here about five years

ago. We had been living in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill. I used to have a two minute

walk to work and then we moved out here a year before COVID and everyone mocked us and thought we were

crazy and I then had a two hour commute to work each way and then, you know, a year after we moved here, the world shut down for two weeks to flatten the curve.

And you know, those two weeks became like two years in the DC area and I got to work in this

basement for over a year before having to go back to an office and it was a great blessing.
