Welcome to God's Blaining. My name is Father Bonamenture. This is a special episode of God's Blaening.

This is a guest-splaining episode where once a month we come and invite a particular guest from different fields.

So we have poets and we have theologians

and we have just regular priests and such.

This episode is a special one though

because we have a professional artist.

I'm joined by Mr. Sam Rosenthal,

is a Chicago-based artist.

I was going to join us and this is Sam, first off, welcome to God's Blaining.

So make a few comments about this episode.

It's a special episode.

One because I think you're going to love talking or listening to a real artist.

And the idea behind this episode will be to kind of get behind the eyes of an artist and maybe with that get a sense of how we should see the world and maybe also dispel some myths about art that some of us might have which we'll talk about and also to introduce you just to Sam's work and American Impressionism you could say in general. I think it'll be really beautiful.

One thing to say about this episode of course is since it's about painting, this might be one that you'll want to watch some of it more than just listen to.

Now we'll be talking of course and so you can get plenty out of this

episode by just hearing Sam explain the value of art and how an artist thinks and how

our owners sees things and all this.
