Tonight, I am going to ask you to turn in your Bible to a place maybe no pastor ever asked

there are people to turn and that is the table of contents. The table of contents tonight,

this is where I used to always turn before turning to the place the pastor asked.

First story about a woman who went to a pet store and she was picking up some cat food.

And as she was leaving, there was a parrot by the front door.

And the parrot said, hey lady, you're the ugliest person I've ever seen.

She was so offended.

She demanded to see the manager. The manager came out and she said, this bird just said I was an ugly person. And the parrot piped up again and said, yeah, that's right. You're the ugliest woman I've ever seen. The manager, he gets upset and he reprimands and he wags his finger in front of this parrot says, you never say that. Finally, the parrot apologizes. Well, the next day, the lady comes back and as she's leaving the parrot once again says, hey lady, you're the ugliest person I've ever seen. You're the ugliest woman. And she gets so mad. She shouts. The manager comes out of the back and she just is so angry. The manager, start talking to the parrot, start slapping the parrot around, you know, you better

apologize.

Finally, the parrot apologizes.

And the manager goes back and as the lady leaves, the parrot says, hey lady, she says, what?

And he says, you know.

You know, they say that repetition, repetition is the mother of learning.

And I've been studying my Bible for many, many years and I'm still learning.

And tonight, I want to do a study that I've entitled the whole Bible in one message.

So there we are at the table of contents. Praise God, the message

is only going to go six or seven hours. And no, I'm just kidding. We're just going to run through.

And I want to give you, I want to help you to have a general grasp, an overview of the Bible.

Because for me, I was born and raised in the church. My dad was a pastor.

And by the time I got to Bible college just out of high school,

I still didn't know what the Bible was.

I didn't know heads from tails, front or back.
