I'm doing one of those dumb intros again that people like. I don't really want to do them, but I'm doing them.

This is coming up with Kelly Smith. I worked for Kelly for two years at Factory KTM. The first two years of Factory KTM's existence in America, 2000, 2001.

And Kelly's a good guy.

I never, we didn't stay close together, buddies like Ferry or Nick and I, just one of those

things, no particular reason, just, you know, whatever.

But I've always kept in touch with him.

He had a great pro career for a long time.

Remember on the starts you could pull?

The guy could pull starts on anything at any time.

And it's interesting to hear him talk about his strategy in this podcast.

And it's good to catch up to him and see what he's doing and everything else.

I see him at Redbud here and there.

A guy was always a gamer as far as racing is concerned.

He was never got to like be super into it, but he could, you know, rely on a lot of talent to get by.

And a lot of good results.

If you look at the raceworks vault, man, a lot of top tens everywhere he went.

I almost wish, like we talk about a little bit in here, he could ride the big bikes pretty good,

Four-stroke Nationals and Supercross and everything else.

And he never really got a shot at it or never took a shot at it

to get serious on the big bikes.

But he was good at it for sure.
