He might even still been a racing then, but we got more into sort of the steps along the way from being a privateer rider to Plano and onward from there. You might want to go and search

detail of his career from step to step to step. This podcast, I haven't spoken to Ivan for a while,

this podcast is more of a what's he up to now?

What does he want to do? What's he been doing? Has he been riding? That type of stuff is all

interesting stuff to me. And it was made possible from a tweet from a listener saying,

why haven't you done a podcast with Ivan? And I had been asking him and he hadn't been replying so I just kind of moved on

and not everybody wants to do it not everybody likes me or whatever so I just kind of texted him a

couple times and moved on and he reached out on Twitter and replied that you know when was this

and then I hit him back and we got together and we did.

He was very accommodating, welcoming to do it.

No problems there.

So for whatever reason, he hadn't seen my two messages sent to him about a year ago or so.

And that's cool.

No problem there.

But yeah, he wanted to do it this time.

So interesting guy, a real self-made champion and like underrated dude.

Three times motocrossin nation's champion.

I screw up the intro and say only two times.

So pay attention to that.

National champion and two-time Supercross champion.

Uh, yeah, he never got a 450 title.
