And Happy New Year to everybody. And wow, do we need a new year. What a stinker of a year

2021 was. May old acquaintance be forgot. I hope to forget the entire year. In a recent poll by Fox,

70% of Americans believe 2021 was a bad year. Only 19% said it was a good year.

And what's worse is that most people don't believe things are going to get any better.

They're not hopeful for 2022, for the future of the country.

We certainly have reason for new hope in New York.

We've finally shed the worst mayor, not only in New York City history,

but maybe the worst mayor in American history.

Since de Blasio came into office, murders have gone up by 50%. Overall, crime is up by 30%.

And according to a national survey, New York City has become the dirtiest city in America.

In one of my favorite TV moments, when de Blasio had the unmitigated, delusional gall to run for president, Tucker Carlson

challenged him on the filth in New York. The city is dirty and it's getting dirtier. One of my

producers told me just yesterday that he was in a crowded subway car and a man dropped his

trousers and defecated in the middle of the car, and no one did anything about it.

And that's a metaphor for what's happening. I go there regularly, and I have my whole life,

and every time I go under your mayorship, it is dirtier, there's filth on the sidewalks. Do you notice any of that? You weakened the sanction against public urination. as a result the city smells like urine. Do you notice that?

Tucker is just not true.

I go all over New York City all the time.

I'm sorry.

I've been here for decades and decades.

This city is more orderly and cleaner and safer than it's been for many, many years.

We got more to do and we're going to keep making it better.
