but um anyways uh i was thinking the day when you were down on the floor taking photos

0:32.6

you're like the grand poohba of trans world motocross and you're the only guy i know in

0:37.4

that position that shoots photos.

0:38.8

Have you ever thought about that?

0:40.4

Like, not calling out anybody names, but like Coombs or Jimmy Lewis or Ron Lawson, they're not down there shooting photos.

1:02.9

jobs within Trans World. And I've always turned them down because I enjoy what I do. And I like

getting my shoes dirty and I like going in trucks and I like taking photos

1:16.6

and editing video and writing stories.

Like, okay, so you're big on the video, you love the video, you're really getting into it.

1:23.3

And actually the last Trans World video was all done by you, basically.

1:27.3

Yeah, I'd say about 90%. Brendan Lutz filmed the Tar Geiger section. Okay. And actually, he actually went to Redbud and did the race for you at Redbud because that race happens to fall on my wedding anniversary. Oh, yeah, yeah. I can't spend my wedding anniversary in Michigan. So, okay, so you're big on the video. Yeah. But, I mean, does the photo shooting get old? You've literally been shooting photos for how long? I mean, film days, probably, right? Yeah, you know what? I bought my first good camera when I started at Dirt Rider in 97. Okay. So it wasn't digital then.

2:54.7

Yeah, it was film. It was film, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it was back then it was actually hard to shoot photos, and you had to be good to shoot slide film. Yeah. Now any monkey can shoot digital. I mean. Yeah. So does it get old? I mean, shooting photos gets real old to me. Yeah. It's, uh, shooting photos is probably my least favorite part of the job. Right, right. I'd much rather, uh, actually I was getting pretty burnt out. And then the whole video thing started. Yeah, yeah. And that's kind of, uh, you like the videos. Revialized me. Right. And so it's kind of been kind of fun to go back and shoot photos because it's kind of old school for me, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And the site's been killing on their videos, right? I mean, besides observations and podcasts. Yeah, well, observations and podcasts lead the way for us. That's what I was thinking. Right. You know? That, that, and then, you know, Jake Weimer's blog is also.

2:55.5

Yes, it is. That is a massive outreach to many people.
