documents how the media ignores and often alters the facts and quote unquote news stories with the goal of and with the result of making it appear that people don't use guns and self defense that often

complicate is in point I actually watch one story where somebody used to guns and self defense and over the course of two hours local news station changed it from self defense shooting to a shooting to an unknown shooting to completely removing all aspect in the story of it being a self defense shooting

what was the Appalachian school law two students the school shooting two students adult students ran to their cars got their guns came back and held the shooter at gunpoint didn't didn't have to shoot him he gave up when they pointed their guns at him

the initial reports were of these students using their guns to stop a school shooting

if you go and look it up now the Appalachian school of law school shooting you will see that they apprehended him or stopped the shooter or held the shooter and almost all references to the fact that these students were using guns to stop a school shooting have vanished

it happened we know it happened if you dig closely you can find it but somehow online through the media the references to a school shooting stopped by students with guns practically disappeared so putting aside the mode of just for a minute is there any wonder that a lot of people simply are unaware that guns are used in self defense so often

you can hardly blame them for not being aware of it if you're not really into this if you're not a gun geek the way I am if you don't study the stuff you don't read the internet stories all the time

if you don't go to say keeping their arms dot com and look at their reports every day of self defense gun uses then you wouldn't know it certainly relying on the general media is not going to tell you that happens all the time

but people are kind of smart generally when people start digging down and looking at things critically they kind of figured out and that's what's happened over the last 12 months or so between covid and the riots and the defund the police

and all the other things that have been happening we had eight right at eight and a half million people buy their first firearm over the last 12 months people who've never owned a gun before trust me they did not buy these guns to go target shooting

they didn't buy these guns because these were to go be a recreational shooter they bought these guns for self protection period parade rest end of story to take care of themselves and their families because they looked at the news and they were smart enough to analyze it and say you know there really is no one out there who's going to take care of us other than us

now I would encourage if you're one of those I would certainly encourage you to go get some training because it's it is a considerably more complex situation than you may be aware of TV movies they make it look easy they make it look simple but that's what they do

it's not simple and it's not easy and there's a lot to it and if you're a person you like studying things and learning things it's kind of fun actually you start taking class and you go oh there's more to this and you take more classes oh there's even more to this how do I store it where do I store it in the house how do I carry it if I want to carry it
