Before I get to any of that, though, I have to have to address the Jets.

We know that John Gruden has seen his life take some twists and turns that I'm sure he couldn't have calculated, nor what he wanted to calculate in recent years.

I'm sure it hasn't all gone as smoothly as he would have loved to. But he had to take a second. And as he relayed the information that he had been offered in an assistance position with the jazz, that life has come to a place where he never could have expected.

Obviously, he turned it down, but it just shows you where the jets are, even more so than it does where John is.

You know, eventually John might get out of this purgatory that he's in.

I think there's a chance he will.

I guess there's also a chance he won't.
