It wouldn't be a Sunday night if the Fedor Reserve and the government wasn't out there

trying to find another buyer for yet another failed bank.

This time I'm talking about first Republic Bank.

I've been mentioning that bank on this podcast for a while.

On Friday after the close, the FDIC came in and closed down the bank, put it into receivership

and they are looking now on a Sunday night.

I think they've been doing this all day.

They're trying to find buyers for the bank and they have several big banks that have stepped up.

Of course, they want a cherry pick, the assets, right?
