We have a lot to get to in the next hour of the readout, including growing protests over the mass firings of federal workers by Elon Musk, all of them public servants who did nothing to deserve this kind of brutal treatment, as thousands more wait for the acts to fall on them.

And on the same day that Trump called himself a king on social media, he's calling Ukrainian

President Volodemir Zelenskyy a dictator, and Russia's ruling class is cheering their new

best friend in the White House.

But we begin tonight with a modern American bank heist in plain sight. The end goal is

what it always is for the Republicans, a big fat tax cut for the wealthy. One of the most

consistent tactics under Trump is to create so much chaos, regular Americans may miss the fine print.

And that fine print is the permanent extension

of the 2017 Trump tax cut that will cost trillions of dollars and blow a gaping hole

in the deficit. NBC News is reporting that even if Trump, but really Elon, did manage to slash all the spending

that Doge is targeting like USAID and DEI programs, his policies would still blow a hole in

the deficit. According to the nonpartisan committee for a responsible federal budget,

Trump has called for a series of tax cuts from eliminating taxes on tips, overtime pay,

and Social Security benefits on top of extending the 2017 tax cuts for the rich. But those cuts

would add at least $5 trillion to the 10-year deficit compared to the red ink if no changes are

made to current federal law.

Now, they don't want you to know that.

So they're waving around the shiny keys instead.

Shadow President Elon Musk is already suggesting sharing all those doge savings.

He has yet to prove actually exist.

And saying they could send $5,000 in dividends in the form of tax refunds to American households.
