You know, Jesus said, come to me, all who are weary and heavy laden, I will give you rest. My yoke is easy. My burden is light. He says, learn from me. Think about it. The savior of the world, the government on his shoulders. He says, learn from me. I'm gentle and humble of heart. Well, maybe you're running on fumes these days and if you are where you've come to the right place god has a life rhythm for you that involves times of rest

and replenishment intimate intimate times of prayer with your creator and you can develop spiritual practices

that ignite your faith and restore your soul in fact i think we live in a day that this is just

essential in our walk with the lord you know we need to be hearing what God is saying to his people, and he speaks to those who are waiting and watching, not to those who are rushing, racing, and stressing. So most days on this show, I'm asking for your engagement today. I just want you to rest. I'm praying that today's show and the conversations and the prayers are just a healing balm for your soul. Asherita Choochoo joins me today. I always love talking with her. We always bring her on at Advent and the Lenton season, but she just released a gorgeous hardcover devotional. It is just like sitting on your coffee table. It's just so stunning. It's the content is so rich. It's titled prayers of rest, daily prompts to slow down and hear God's voice.
